Hillside croft is a five star self catering Peak District cottage. Built in 1709 in warm sandstone, the Peak District cottage is listed as a building of historical interest. Oak beamed ceilings, leaded lights and stone mullions, the Peak District cottage retains it's charm whilst providing the holiday maker with every modern comfort.
The cottage is perfectly situated in a peaceful setting but not remote. The attractions of Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Nottinghamshire are all within easy reach.
For lovers of
historic houses and mansions, we have plenty in the areas surrounding Hillside
Croft, many of which are open to the public. For those looking for a bit more
action, Alton Towers, the American Adventure and Waterworld are all close
to the cottage. Walking, cycling, climbing, canoeing, pony
trekking or caving in the many beautiful dales and moorlands that Derbyshire
and the Peak District have in abundance are popular choices for the energetic.
Inside the Peak District cottage, you'll find that it has three floors connected by shallow staircases. To the ground floor are the lounge, dining room, kitchen and a downstairs cloakroom. All are well equipped with a range of modern conveniences.
On the first floor
of the Peak District cottage are two bedrooms and a main
bathroom. The first of the bedrooms is furnished with a double bed and has
en-suite facilities. The second bedroom has twin beds and a cot. The main
bathroom has traditional victorian fittings.
To the second floor of the Peak District cottage are a further three bedrooms, all with sloped ceilings. Bedroom 3 is furnished with a double bed and additional fold up bed. Bedroom 4 has a double bed, and is also furnished with a double bed settee and colour television, making it suitable for use as a second lounge. Bedroom 5 is accessed through the fourth bedroom. Another double bedded room, the fifth bedroom has additional fold up bed and cot.
